On October 3, we will begin a new year of Sunday school at Prophet Elias. We will be using the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese curriculum in all of the classes. This curriculum is "life-experience" centered, meaning that all the books and lessons we are using will seek to tie the child's real life experiences to what is being taught in the life of the Church. In talking about this curriculum, the late Dr. John Boojamra (former director of the Orthodox Christian Education Commission) said this; "we seek to show our young people that the Christian faith is life, not just a way of life or even a way to live, but it is the very life of God, here and now."
